Whilst we are not the only ones to enjoy the sand, snorkeling and seclusion of one of Sydney best kept secrets in the South East, there are plenty of Sydney Siders who have never even been here. Malabar doesn't make a lot of noise and doesn't boast the mansions and celebrities, but it is a great little spot on the coast all the same. It's very natural, not a lot of development and beautiful because of it.
It has a pretty protected little beach with great snorkeling out along both headlands. It also has a row of clean BBQs up the back and plenty of room in the car park... and no crowds. If you feel like getting out of the city, but only driving for 25 minutes, then pack a lunch and make a day trip to Malabar.
