Nestled up in one of Pittwaters hideaway bays, Clareville Beach is a picture perfect place. How good would it be to wake up looking at this every morning? You feel so far out of the city sitting on the sand here and yet Sydney CBD is only about an hour's drive south. Clareville is blessed with great geography. It faces north west so gets lovely afternoon sun all year round. The level grass grounds slowly transforms to sand on the way down to the calm shallow water. Perfect for little kids and their parents (who can relax on the sand while the kids run free in full view)
There is a sailing club here and plenty of private boats and yachts moored a little way off shore. Clareville hosts an annual NYE party on the beach every year - strictly for families. Lots of local families meet up for a few drinks, a few sausages and a few celebrations on the sand. Most are done by about 9:30pm - busy getting the little tackers back in bed, although there are always a few to see in the new year. Behind the sand are some beautiful (and expensive) homes. Further back the land rises sharply up to a ridge and Bilgola Plateau beyond that. All of the homes perched on the hill have fantastic north westerly views over Pittwater and up to the Central Coast. A very pretty place.
