Bondi beach is a famous body of sand and water and Bondi Icebergs is it's heart. Sitting proudly at the southern end of this spectacular Sydney city beach, the Icebergs pool, clubhouse and restaurant are as close as real estate royalty that this relatively young city has. Yes, it looks amazing but it is also a great, functional pool. Plenty of room to swim and relax and all for a very small fee.
The name Icebergs, comes from the group of mad people who just love jumping in for a swim in the middle of winter. No wetsuits - in fact they drop in huge blocks of ice just to cool it down a tad. Mad I say - but each to their own.
Upstairs the pace changes a little in the very swanky Icebergs restaurant and bar. Very 5 star and very good - but also pricey, Icebergs is an amazing location to have a wonderful meal. If you are able to get a window seat (most of them are) you are perched high above the Pacific, looking out over the glittering lights of the beach and city behind. Nice.
